Getting To Know God
His Name Is...
The Creator - The Light - The Glory - Aseity
Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”
When God revealed His essence to Moses in the burning bush, He told Moses to tell the people that He should be called “I AM.” In other words, that which the people called God did not have any effect on God’s true nature. The manner in which we know God doesn’t determine who God is. God is who He is regardless of our knowledge or perspective of Him. Since Jesus is God in flesh, He declared the same principle that was declared to Moses. Jesus is God in flesh, making Him the eternally self-existing, self-sustaining, glorious Creator of all things; and this is true regardless of our opinion of it.
