Most believers understand that God is the source of our provision. He is the One in charge of our food, water, clothing, shelter, and so forth. However, the scriptures emphatically show that the focus of God’s provision is not merely material. God is the One in charge of providing for all of our needs, but His focus is on ensuring our spiritual needs! The Bible is filled with insight into the identity of God as the Provider for our souls according to His grace, which begins with God providing a way of escape from His coming judgment. God’s identity as Jehovah Jireh teaches about God’s provision as “the SEED of the woman,” according to His gracious intercession on behalf of mankind.
