The Right Path

Righteousness will go before Him, and shall make His footsteps [our] pathway.

Psalm 85:13

The Bible teaches that our “goodness” compared to God’s, isn’t good at all! God sees our righteousness as “filthy rags.” Therefore, no one can stand before God, having His approval to get into heaven. There is only one way to please God – faith! He alone is righteousness, and thankfully, He is also merciful and gracious. So, He promised to provide the righteousness we need, but we have to trust in the manner that He provides it. Righteousness is His, and His alone. It goes before Him. If we don’t follow His footsteps, as exemplified by Jesus, then we’ll find the path we walk, is the wrong one. Only His path, leads to perfect glory like Jesus proved.
