Glory In The LORD
But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God--and righteousness and sanctification and redemption-- that, as it is written, "He who glories, let him glory in the LORD."
1 Corinthians 1:30-31

If God is powerful and wise enough to do anything, why doesn’t He just make us righteous, since we don’t have any righteousness to show for? Why doesn’t God just make us perfect now? The Bible teaches that God WILL make His people righteous and perfect, but only after He proves a point to us all – righteousness and perfection come only from Jesus Christ, God in flesh. Why does God wait? He’s making it so that, when we are in His presence, no one has any reason to boast. Everyone will know the glory of God and the means by which we are able to dwell in His presence to worship Him, and it won’t have anything to do with us!
