Getting To Know God
His Name Is...
The LORD Our Peace - The Prince Of Peace - The Just Judge - The Praise Of God - The Perfection Of God
Like The Waters Of Noah
“For this [is] like the waters of Noah to Me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth, so have I sworn that I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you. For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the LORD, who has mercy on you.
The peace of God comes solely on account of who He is. God is able to remove fear and threats of death because He is the Judge who has power and control over all corruption, death, and darkness. Since He has charge over these things, His final judgment upon these things will result in perfect peace. It’s God’s faithfulness that gives us hope for this future. God was able and faithful to judge evil during the days of Noah, so what’s to keep Him from doing so again? So, His covenant of peace is as sure as the perfection of His integrity. We can praise God now in anticipation of His peace to come, leaning on the mercy He provides today.
