Free From Fear!

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

1 John 4:8

The peace of God consists of the absence of fear and death. Since God is impeccably pure and righteous, He is whole and complete. He is unaffected by corruption, decay, or death. What place is there for fear, with these circumstances? Scripture teaches that “love” is the revelation of Jesus as the Son of God and Messiah unto salvation. So, Jesus’ judgment upon sin as the Prince of Peace, is also the manifestation of God’s “love,” which provides peace through eternal life. Since Jesus squashed death, we should praise Him without fear, since the threat of torment has been removed forever!
