All Is Well

So Ahimaaz called out and said to the king, “All is well!” Then he bowed down with his face to the earth before the king, and said, “Blessed [be] the LORD your God, who has delivered up the men who raised their hand against my lord the king!”

2 Samuel 18:28

The peace that most people crave is the kind that enables them to say, “All is well!” This sort of peace can only come from God who is perfect. How can peace come in the midst of corruption? Who other than God, is qualified to remove corruption to provoke peace? Notice that Ahimaaz recognized God as the author of their wellness, acknowledging His impeccability as the cause. God judged the enemies of His people to remove corruption as a result of His perfection, which then caused the praise of His people. This is why God reveals His perfection: To judge corruption, causing peace, which then provokes the praise of His people.
