Charge Over Legions
"Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?"
Matthew 26:53

The miracle of God’s incarnation was truly a stumbling block for many people, but that doesn’t mean that Jesus didn’t provide proof of who He was. Jesus appeared to many in the Old Testament as the Angel of the Lord, proving to have the authority of the Father. When Jesus gave Himself up for arrest before He stood trial on the way to the cross, He was fearless because of who He was. Jesus was flesh, but was still the LORD of host; still in charge of all armies - Jewish and Roman alike. Jesus reminded Peter He could have called angels to fight for Him, but surrendered His authority to fight the issues of sin another way – by His own death.
