Moved With Compassion
And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things.
Mark 6:34

Knowing that God is the LORD Our Shepherd, it’s important to recognize what the goodness of God looks like through His “shepherding.” When Jesus saw the multitudes before Him, He was “moved with compassion,” which means that He was moved to His bowels. Seeing the spiritual and physical condition of His people made Him sick to His stomach! Jesus suffered watching His people deny His goodness, dealing with the consequences of that rejection. How did Jesus address the problem? He taught them. The goodness of God is made manifest through the revelation of truth by the Word. This is how God shepherds His people.
