Getting To Know God
His Name Is...
The LORD Who Sanctifies - The Tabernacle - The Worship Of God - The Holiness Of God
Separated From Terror
I will not execute the fierceness of My anger; I will not again destroy Ephraim. For I [am] God, and not man, the Holy One in your midst; and I will not come with terror.
One of the most important facets of God’s identity as the Lord Who Sanctifies us, is the fact that He will keep us separate from the eternal consequences of our sin. The difficulties of this life show that our current flaws produce consequence and difficulty. The important thing to remember is that, God promised to sanctify us from His eternal judgment. God will pour out His wrath upon the earth, but swore to keep us from the fierceness of His anger. This is one of the chief reasons that we should worship God – His mercy keeps us from condemnation, enabling us to live in the presence of Jesus, the Holy One, who paid the penalty we deserve.
