Separated From Confining Walls

"My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed I will be their God, and they shall be My people. "The nations also will know that I, the LORD, sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forevermore." ' "

Ezekiel 37:27-28

When God instructed Moses to build the tabernacle, He commanded they use materials that could endure the wilderness, but not time. Eventually the tabernacle was replaced by Solomon’s temple. Then, that temple was destroyed by Babylon, and a lesser temple was built to replace it. However, that temple was destroyed too, by Rome. Another has not been built since. Still, God promised that He has sanctified His people from sin, death, and hell. His purpose is to dwell with us forever, and He doesn’t need a temple to do so. The congregation of His people, is the place where God’s holiness dwells by His Spirit. Praise God!
