Separated Completely!

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 5:23

Jesus is God in flesh. He is the same eternally self-existing, self-sustaining holy God that created all things. That means, when He died, His blood was eternally valuable and powerful. Since we’re cleansed and sanctified by His blood, we must understand the thorough nature of His work. Jesus’ last words on the cross were not, “It is almost finished.” Jesus said, “It IS finished!” His cleansing work is complete. So, His sanctification is all-inclusive – body, mind, and soul. Therefore, we should be TOTALLY separated from sin, corruption, and the temporal things of this world, to let Jesus prove the effectiveness of His work as true, through our lives.
