Getting To Know God
His Name Is...
The LORD Who Sanctifies - The Tabernacle - The Worship Of God - The Holiness Of God
Dwelling With Us
For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name [is] Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy [place], with him [who] has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones."
Job 36:5 teaches that God is mighty, but doesn’t despise us. Even though He is highly exalted above all, He doesn’t immediately reject and deny us. The prophet Isaiah wrote that God is indeed holy, seated high above all things, inhabiting eternity. However, God desires to dwell with His people. So, He provides His Spirit through the conduit of faith in Jesus Christ. This way, God dwells with His people in a way, far more personal than the tabernacle. This way, God shares His holiness, to separate us from corruption and death. When we humble ourselves before Him, He shares the benefits of His holiness to revive our hearts and souls to worship!
