Bought At A Price

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit [who is] in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

How does God separate us from the sin of our flesh, the death of our souls, and the condemnation of hell? He preserves the spiritual integrity of corrupted people by living in us. His holiness is so great, that it’s sufficient to cleanse our corruption by His mere presence! Jesus paid the price of our sin by His atoning sacrifice. His redemption, makes it possible for the presence of the Holy God to dwell in the hearts of believers, just like He did in the tabernacle and temple. In this way, we become like God’s temple and dwelling place, keeping us safe from the corruption of our nature. His blood is like the purchase of His home, located in our hearts.
