The Living Tabernacle

Now his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying: “Blessed [is] the Lord God of Israel, for He has visited and redeemed His people…”

Luke 1:67-68

If the Bible teaches that we’re all sinners and our righteousness is like filthy rags, how can we do anything good for the Lord? How can we worship Him, and fulfill the purpose for which God created us? The testimony of Zacharias shows that God separates His people from the flesh, by His Holy Spirit, to enable us to do holy things at certain times, for His glory. Zacharias was filled with God’s Spirit to praise the fulfillment of the Father’s promise to dwell with us, offering spiritual cleansing and separation from the bondage of sin. He proclaimed these things in observation of Jesus Christ, God in flesh, the Redeemer and Sanctifier!
