Separated Unto The Word

“They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.”

John 17:16-17

When God created people, His original purpose was for all people to worship Him in response to the perfect fellowship He enabled us to have with Him, dwelling in the glory and goodness of His presence. God has revealed Himself as Sanctifier to keep us from our flesh and the world, conforming us into His own image, enabling that worship! Jesus is not of this world – totally separate from sin, corruption, and decay. When He prayed to the Father to sanctify us, He reminded us of the Father’s promise and purpose to separate us from our flesh; from sin, corruption, and decay. The Word of God is the means by which this sanctification takes place.
