Getting To Know God
His Name Is...
The LORD Who Provides - The Promised SEED - The Grace of God - The Intercession Of God
“And it shall be, when your days are fulfilled, when you must go [to be] with your fathers, that I will set up your seed after you, who will be of your sons; and I will establish his kingdom.”
1 Chronicles 17:11
One of the most important promises God made was to Israel concerning the establishment of a Kingdom. God promised King David that He would provide a King to establish His own eternal kingdom! This promise explains how God would fulfill the promise of the Seed according to the prophetic illustration of Genesis 22. The Seed of the woman would also be a descendant of David, and the King of Israel. This means that “the Seed” would also be “the only begotten Son” that God Himself provides as a suitable sacrifice to deal with the issue of sin. This is the extent of God’s grace and interposition as Jesus, the Messiah King of Israel!
