Provision Poured Out
Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong, because He poured out His soul unto death, and He was numbered with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Isaiah 53:12

The Bible plainly teaches that “the Seed” of the woman referred to in Genesis 3:15, would also be the incarnation of God as the suitable sacrifice described in Genesis 22, through the role of the Messiah King of Israel, promised to David. So, it’s this Seed that would reflect the Father’s judgment on sin, enabling eternal life and the fulfillment of God’s covenants. Only Israel’s Messiah has the authority to intervene in the lives of God’s people this way. Only God in flesh has the righteousness to make that intercession functional and fruitful. Only Jesus Christ meets the criteria to satisfy this prophecy as the satisfaction of God’s infinitely gracious provision.
