Getting To Know God
His Name Is...
The LORD Who Provides - The Promised SEED - The Grace of God - The Intercession Of God
Pleasing To The LORD
Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He has put [Him] to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see [His] seed, He shall prolong [His] days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand.
When God judged Adam and Eve, He also judged sin. God explained that He would respond to sin with grace in Genesis 3:15. There He said that “the Seed” would destroy the devil and his work by being “bruised” on His heel. The prophet Isaiah wrote that the heel of “the Seed,” would be bruised by the Father as the method to pay sin’s debt. God doesn’t just forgive sins by forgetting. He intervened in human life, providing Himself as the only suitable sacrifice, in the flesh, to judge sin by His own suffering! This is the only testimony that pleases God. The only way for us to please Him, is to trust this testimony was fulfilled through Jesus Christ.
