Getting To Know God
His Name Is...
The LORD Who Provides - The Promised SEED - The Grace of God - The Intercession Of God
Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, "And to seeds," as of many, but as of one, "And to your Seed," who is Christ.
The teaching that Jesus is “the Seed” promised in Genesis 3:15 is not mere speculation. It’s a clear teaching of scripture. God stated that He would provide “the Seed” of the woman as a descendant of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Judah, and David. The Apostle Paul was quick to point out that God’s promise was not centered on many people, but one Man, one Heir, one Lion, one King. The grace of God was poured out through the bloodline of Abraham, fulfilling God’s promise that One would come as a “Blessing” to all the families of the earth. What better blessing than God’s provision of forgiveness of sins, through a suitable sacrifice?
