The Peace Treaty
“Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them, and it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; I will establish them and multiply them, and I will set My sanctuary in their midst forevermore.”
Ezekiel 37:26

When a promise contains the word “forever,” there is only One that is able to meet those terms. God alone is eternal. With that said, it is important to recognize that all of His promises are made under the umbrella of “forever.” The essence of God’s blessings is also eternal in nature. God promised Israel that He would be in their presence “forevermore.” Only a God unaffected by time, corruption, and human influence is able to keep such a promise. God’s promise of peace to Israel will be fulfilled in a physically tangible way, but in an eternal capacity that can only be manifested by the Creator of all things, apart from human influence.
