Getting To Know God
His name is...
The Most High God - Melchizedek The Great High Priest - The Goodness of God - The Preeminent Transcendence of God
Only One Most High
For to which of the angels did He ever say: "You are My Son, Today I have begotten You"? And again: "I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son"?
There are many titles that are appointed to Jesus that describe His uniqueness. Perhaps the most well-known of these titles is, “the only begotten Son.” Jesus is not the “only son” of the Father. Jesus’ title as the “Son of God” refers to His identity as the “Heir of God.” In other words, Jesus is God in flesh, possessing all of the attributes and authority of the Father. He is “only begotten” in the sense that He is unique as God in flesh. God did not take the form of flesh many times. He is Jesus of Nazareth. The Father never appointed angels or others to this purpose. Only Jesus has been appointed to this purpose to the glory of the Father.
