Forever Protector
“The eternal God [is your] refuge, and underneath [are] the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, and will say, 'Destroy!'”
Deuteronomy 33:27

Why can God be trusted to protect us from the real matters of life? Lots of people make promises they don’t keep, even though they might have tried. Why is God different? First, God is eternal. He is not governed by or tied to the factors of this life such as time, corruption, and decay. Second, He is eternally great. His arms are big enough to hold us all up from the dangers that lurk beneath. Lastly, His Word is supremely great and unchanging in power. When He says something, it happens. So, when He says “destroy” to the things that threaten our relationship with Him, the threat is eliminated. Who but God can protect this way?
