Getting To Know God
El Shaddai - Everpresent Supreme Power
The Omnipotent God - The LION Of Judah - The Power Of God - The Omnipresence Of God
The Promise Platform
When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I [am] Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.”
If Yahweh is considered God’s “promise name,” then El Shaddai is the name that explains why we can trust in Him. God called Abraham and promised he would be a great nation, would receive a land inheritance, and from him, would come a “Blessing!” To do this, God needs power to make Abraham a great nation, power to possess land and give it, and power to bless the entire world through His blessing, until the end of time, at all places in the world, from heaven! Since Yahweh is Almighty God, He has this power and the omnipresence to distribute it in all places, requiring us to trust in His power to do what He promised.
