Power To Destroy

“God brings him out of Egypt; He has strength like a wild ox; He shall consume the nations, his enemies; He shall break their bones and pierce [them] with his arrows. 'He bows down, he lies down as a lion; and as a lion, who shall rouse him?' Blessed [is] he who blesses you, and cursed [is] he who curses you.”

Numbers 24:8-9

The Bible teaches that all of God’s eternally unconditional promises are fulfilled through the Messiah – the Anointed One. God explained that the Messiah would come with the power, strength, and authority of a lion in order to destroy the enemies of His people. This shows that the fulfillment of God’s promises is predicated on the power He displays through the Messiah to destroy the enemies of His people, in all places, at all times, from the heavens, but physically in this world. God’s power is shown through the physical and spiritual destruction God brings in judgment towards those who oppose the heirs of His promises!
