The Greatness Of God's Promise
“Then [Abraham] planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba, and there called on the name of the LORD, the Everlasting God.”
Genesis 21:33

Sometimes things happen that make it seem like God isn’t going to do what He said. When Abraham saw that people filled up some wells that he dug, the promise God made for a land inheritance likely seemed like an impossible feat. Abraham couldn’t keep his wells. How was he supposed to get the rest of the land God promised? God addressed the issue. The wells were returned and restored. Abraham’s hope was also restored, seeing that God’s greatness doesn’t change with circumstances. God will ALWAYS do what He says, no matter how much time passes or how things look. Hence, Abraham called God El Olam – The Everlasting God.
